Question by Depiction: Mexico Vacation-?
Hey folks
I like to take a one week vacation in December to Mexico with my son ( we live in San Francisco area). I have only been to Mexico very briefly once and I know very small in this area the country and the excellent seats to visit. I like to visit a few cities which could include some historic seats, like San Miguel, and more fun seats and beaches. I want to avoid the overcrowded, over-touristy seats. I was thinking of Puerta Vallarta. Any suggestions on what a excellent schedule could look like. I like to visit a few cities rather than waste a lot of time in one or two areas to really explore them (which I know is the right way to do this, but my son’ travel requirements are uncommon). We are somewhat open for duration – it could be a few days more, if needed.

Well you can visit Mexico City, it really gets gorgeous during the winter and less polluted, but if you want to go to a beach resort, its better to go to the pacific side of Mexico, more likely south to where its more greener and gorgeous, Puerto Vallarta is excellent but Ixtapa, Manzanillo, and Acapulco are gorgeous too! I really like San Carlos and San Miguel too!
