Tourism

“Tourism is the key to Mexico`s economic development. It generates wealth for other economic activities and for all socioeconomic groups… This requires consistent long-term policy measures in marketing, facilitation and in the promotion and encouragement of investment.”

Federal Support For Tourism Infrastructure

The national agency, Fonatur,  was founded 30 years ago to provide master planning and funding for large tourism developments in Mexico. Fonatur typically purchases large tracts of land, establishes infrastructure, clears title, and invites international investors, such as large resort hotels, to participate as development partners.
Every one of these projects has been highly successful. Cancun, for example, continues to be one of the most popular vacation destinations in the world.

Should Americans have the rights to travel to Mexico on vacation?

Saturday, March 20th, 2010

Why do Americans hate Mexicans, yet they travel to Mexico and go on vacation? Should Americans be considered illegally there, therefore be deported and be treated like the Mexicans get treated in America?
OK, first of all, I am a U.S. Citizen. I know that a lot of you complain about illegal immigrants taking your jobs, but how was that? How did they take your jobs? Maybe it’s because they were never your jobs to begin with. I bet you people who are citizens wouldn’t even think about working in the fields in the summer heat. I know I wouldn’t! My point is that many immigrants (illegal or not) suffer to get here and Americans don’t have to suffer to go to Mexico or any other country. I own a business and I think I wouldn’t even have my business if it wasn’t for immigrants. My business makes thousands of dollars in taxes each year. I know immigrants have to pay taxes when they get their pay check right?

Florida Beach Vacation Rentals: A Memory-Filled Experience at St. George Island

Saturday, March 20th, 2010

St. George is a 22-mile barrier island of Florida’s Great Northwest Gulf Coast. The Island is known as the â??forgotten coast.â? The surrounding habitat is rich in naturally preserved public lands and breathtaking sunsets. The place is like a lost paradise filled with a rich and interesting history of the past.

Europeans invaded the island in 1528. Spanish invaders took over the gulf portion during the 17th century. This is why many home rentals were influenced by Spanish style architecture. Shipwrecks remains are also found on the islandâ??s coast line. Guests can explore the island along with the tracing mystery of philandering pirates and Spanish traders.

Families who want a peaceful vacation could try fishing, boating, trail hiking and beachcombing as well as other thrilling water sports in the region. You can also do simple pleasures like world-class fishing at the Apalachicola Bay and Gulf of Mexico. Nearby areas to visit are the historic Apalachiola with turn-of-the-century buildings, galleries and antique shops.

Saturday, March 20th, 2010

There are so many vacation spots right in the USA, why even consider going abroad? Choose from one of these domestic attractions, fit for singles or families, where you can plan a vacation to fit any budget.

The Oregon Coast

Experience foliage like you’ve never seen when you rent a car and drive down the Pacific coast. Begin your journey at Astoria, where jewel-toned forest lands and rivers converge with Highway 101. As you travel south, stop at Depoe Bay, the smallest natural navigable harbor in the world, to watch the whales and otters. Marvel at Florence’s sand dunes, and finish your trek at Gold Beach.

Colorado Springs, Colorado

You’ll be up close and personal with Pike’s Peak right beside you in this beautiful Rocky Mountain region. You can find a cosmopolitan resort hotel like the Broadmoor for skiing in the winter or swimming in the summer, or choose a cozier venue. Stop at places like the Seven Falls that decorate Cheyenne Mountain Canyon, where author Helen Hunt Jackson lived among the Indians she loved so much.
